OneSteel is currently seeking to appoint an Electrical Tradesperson to support the planned increase in production output from the Newcastle operations.
OneSteels Australian Tube Mills is a world-class manufacturer of quality structural steel pipe and tube as well as other specialty sections supplying to the construction, manufacturing, housing, mining and agricultural industries.

Working a three shift rotating roster and a nine day fortnight, the Electrical Tradesperson performs maintenance activities to plant and equipment to ensure that production support needs are met according to departmental requirements.
Responsibilities:
Adhering to workflow processes for job execution
Operate equipment according to SOPs and quality system procedures
Recording of all relevant data and reporting for the area as directed
Equipment inspections, repairs and maintenance of equipment and machinery
Continuous improvement of operations in accordance with company policy
Performance of other tasks as required
Actively participate in team activities
To be successful in this role you will require the following;
Trade Qualifications (Electrical)
Previous experience within a heavy manufacturing environment
Uncompromising safety focus
Hold a current NSW Electrical Supervisor certificate
Proven problem solving ability with high level of experience in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
Desired Experience;
Siemens PLC
Siemens AC and DC Drives
Citect
High Frequency Welder/Heater experience
